Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 Gets New Trailer, March 3 Premiere for First Part

As previously revealed in a trailer, the final episode of Attack on Titan will be televised in two parts. The first half's debut is scheduled for March 3. The follow-up will be released in 2023. The series is animated by MAPPA.

According to a statement from the studio, the third installment was originally scheduled to be completed in its entirety in March but had to be divided due to the workload. The first half will be shown on March 3 at midnight JST, per the broadcast announcement. The text suggests that this is not a cour, and based on the terminology, we are most likely in for a special that will be a little bit longer than an average episode.

Both episodes of Final Season were directed by Yuichiro Hayashi, with series composition and scripting handled by Hiroshi Seko. The story's composition was attributed to Shintaro Kawakubo, Attack on Titan's editor at Kodansha. In a recent interview, Yuichiro Hayashi joined CGI producer and layout designer Yuusuke Tannawa to discuss the creation of the anime adaptation. Hayashi emphasized Hajime Isayama's involvement and how he provides perspective and checks storyboards.
