Psycho-Pass: Providence is Coming May 12 in Theaters in Japan

In addition to staff and the cast, Production I.G is animating the film, which is a part of the franchise's 10th anniversary effort, and it will have its Japanese premiere on May 12th.

The new Psycho-Pass film will once again be directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani, and the cast also has several well-known faces:

Series Composition: Tow Ubukata
Screenplay: Tow Ubukata, Makoto Fukami
Original Character Designs: Akira Amano
Character Designer / Chief Animation Director: Naoyuki Onda
Color Design: Makiko Suzuki
Art Director: Shuichi Kusamori
Photography Director: Arai Eiji
Music: Yugo Kanno

The idea for the Psycho-Pass story's initial version was developed by Gen Urobuchi. Akane Tsunemori, an investigator who joins the police department as an Investigator dedicated on enforcing the Sybil system, was the main subject of the first season, which debuted in 2012 and was centered on her. The Sybil system, which rules society, monitors everyone's "psycho-pass" in order to gauge stress levels and criminal propensity. Inspectors with a negative psycho-pass can continue working while under supervision as Enforcers. Shinya Kogami is one instance of this. In Japan, the utopian system works, but how well does it function in everyday life? In an effort to learn the truth, Akane teams up with her coworkers.
