Saint Seiya: Episode G – Assassin is a sequel to the manga Saint Seiya: Episode G, written by Megumu Okada.
It was serialized between April 5, 2014, and August 27, 2019, first on the magazine Champion Red Ichigo and then on Champion Cross, later renamed Manga Cross. Its 118 chapters were compiled into 16 volumes by Akita Shoten. The story begins some time between before the beginning of the story of Saint Seiya. Cocteau, an Oracle of Athena, appears before Capricorn Shura and tasks him with a secret mission that is to take place in Japan and that will require him to abandon Sanctuary. Shura accepts and is transported to the future. Leo Aiolia chases after Shura to kill him, believing that the Capricorn Saint has become a traitor.
In the future, they meet and end up protecting a young woman known as Yoshino Hino, who is the target of a group of murderers known as the Faceless. The Faceless work alongside another group known as the Gladiators, which includes famous figures and heroes from various mythologies who carry sacred swords. They engage Shura in the War of Sacred Swords to see who among them has the strongest sword. The victor is expected to win a great treasure. Vol 15
