Duel Links YAL #1

Hello Duelists,

We are introducing a YAL which is a league format tournament where duelists can either register as a team of 2 players or play in solo.

The season will be consisting of 6 YALs happening once every 2-3 weeks. 

Please note that the entry fee will be *Rs 75* if you enter as solo player & *Rs 150* if you enter as a team. It's a one-time Entry fee that you will only have to complete on registration.

Format Rules

1. An individual can register as a solo player or being part of a team.
2. A team consists of 2 players.
3. Swiss rounds, with a cumulative player ranking & team ranking on a basis of 6 Weeks.
4. Rounds will depend upon number of players registered per YAL:

• 1 to 5 players : 3 Rounds
• 6 to 9 players : 4 Rounds
• 9+ players : 5 Rounds

5. Each player will be allowed:

•   A main deck of 20-30 cards
•   An Extra deck of 0-8 cards (Optional)
•   A side deck of 0-8 cards (Optional)

6. For each rounds, every games will be in a best of 3 format with access to side only on Game 2 & Game 3.

7. There will be a separate ranking for Top performing players & Top performing teams to issue prizes.

8. Points will be attributed as follows for Team & Player rankings :

• Win = + 3 points
• Loss = + O points
• Draw = +1 point

9. Rankings for teams & players will be updated after each YAL edition and winner of each category will be gifted prizes.

 

Deck Rules

1. Each deck & skills must follow most recent banlist implemented in-game. Any illegal decks will receive a disqualification from that particular week tournament.

2. Using unsubmitted cards in the main deck, side deck or extra deck will lead to a disqualification from that particular week tournament.

3. Players must submit decks prior the start of the tournament. Any decklists submitted after the announced start time will lead to a disqualification.

4. Skills used in main deck & side deck must be clearly visible on the deck submission of the player.

 

Time rules

1. Each round will be timed of 40 minutes. Any game reaching the time limit will be judged as follows.

•   In case of a Game 1

The player with highest Life points at the End Phase of Turn 4 will be declared the winner of the Best of 3.

•   In case of Game 2

The player with highest Life points at the End Phase of Turn 4 will be declared the winner of the game.

In case of a 1-1 score, game will be considered a draw.

•   In case of a Game 3

The player with highest Life points at the End Phase of T4 will be declared the winner of the Best of 3.

2. In case of lateness, following sanctions will be applied :

•   5 minutes late

The late player will start with a score of 0-1 .

• 10 minutes late

The late player will be issued a round loss of 0-2.

3. If a player happens to be not showing up for 20 minutes for any round, he/she will disqualified from that particular YAL. 4. Failure to update the app will be counted as lateness.

 

Connection rules

1. Any glitches or in-game bugs will impose a replay of that specific game for the players.

2. In case of a disconnection during a game, the game will be counted as a loss for the player who got disconnected.

 

Additional rules

1. Cossy ID must be properly submitted at the risk of being disqualified from the specific YAL.

2. A team is permitted to disband at any week in the tournament but no new team can be created during the YAL season.

3. Improper behaviour & cheating will be severely condemned by the administration.

4. In order to be allowed to play the DL YAL, the player must:

•   Be part of the Duel Links Whatsapp group.
•   Be following our Twitch & Youtube channel

(Proofs will be required)

5. Team Names & Logos cannot be changed once season started.
