2023 is upon us and with it come 365 new opportunities for Adilsons to raise the bar for serving our Mauritian otakus even better! With COVID and its ripple-effect behind us, our prospects are set on continuing our established standard of service as well as offering even more opportunities for our patrons to live their passion; these are our goals for 2023:
•To Reopen the Adilsons Harris Street Branch
•To continue our Monthly Tournaments & Contests
•To facilitate the Arrival of more Katanas, Cosplay Accessories and Anime Clothing

1. Events Happening Now!
•Speed Duel Tournament Postponed! Heavy rain & adverse weather conditions have lead us to postpone the event until further notice. Further information will follow in the days to come.
•Adilsons was live for the first time on Twitch Yesterday! We streamed the new MDYAL (Master Duel YAL) and had lots of fun. Thanks to everyone who joined. You can follow us on Twitch here to be notified on all our future streams.
•YAL 5 was held at our original venue on Harris Street Today! Results will be posted in next week's segment!
•Hoist your flags, fellow Pirates! Adilsons will host its first ever One Piece Tournament on February the 4th at Citadelle Mall! Who will be the first Adilsons Pirate King?!

2. Yu-Gi-Oh! Market Watch!
This time assessing sales data over the last two weeks, here's what the [TCGPlayer] statistics say about the card prices in everyone's favorite card game; the focus being on the latest set- Amazing Defenders!
This set introduced us to 3 new archetypes: Rescue-Ace, Purrely and Mikanko, all of which hold relatively similar prices in the market (at the moment), in stark contrast to the pattern set by old deck-building packs where 1 or 2 decks clearly dominate over their companion(s). The most expensive cards from the individual archetypes are as follows:
1. Rescue-Ace: Rescue-Ace Hydrant [$6.50]
2. Purrely: Purrely [$10]
3. Mikanko: Ohime the Manifested Mikanko [$18]
Keep in mind that you'll need multiple copies of these cards to optimize your deck's power and consistency, along with other high-rarity cards from the set. While the total price of any of these decks is dependent on your build, it can be said with confidence that- as things stand- Mikanko is the most expensive of the three and Rescue-Ace appears to be the budget option, even though it's not far behind its debuting partners in terms of price.
All in all, Amazing Defenders as a set has performed rather poorly on the market so far, with no real hype surrounding its release and no meta-warping influence from any of its newly released decks. Hopefully, this will change as new support will inevitably follow in core boosters to come but for now, Amazing Defenders can barely defend its falling market price, currently set at just over $50.
