Smash Tournament and Mario Kart Tournament Rules

Smash Tournament

Phase 1 [Starter]:

1. Both participants are to play a game of rock paper scissors, the loser will have to declare the character they shall use first, the winner will get to pick in second.

1. The winner will then proceed to ban a stage from the 5 starter stages. The loser in the rock paper scissors game will then ban 2 stages from the remaining starter stages and the winner will then ban a last stage so that only one stage remains. The remaining stage shall be the one that shall be used for the first battle.

Phase 2 [Counterpick]:

1. The winner of the first battle will then have to declare the character he/she will use and will be allowed to ban two stages from the list of available stages from both the starter stages and the counterpick stages. The loser will then decide on which stage he/she would like to play for the second battle.

1. If the previous loser loses, then they move to the loser’s bracket. But if they win they then have to go through step one of this phase again since a Round of Smash is best out of 3 battles. The one who wins two battles against the other wins the round.

Mario Kart Tournament

1. The Four players are to play a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. The Winner gets to choose the first stage for the first race.

1. A tournament shall consist of 4 races on 150 cc.

1. The player with the least point after the first race shall pick the next stage.

1. Repeat step three till the 4 races are over and one player has the most points.

1. 4 tournaments will be held. The winners of all four tournaments will face off in a championship final.
