One Piece is a manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The series was first published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997, and has since become one of the most popular manga series of all time. The series follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of pirates, as they search for the legendary treasure known as One Piece.

The series is set in a world where pirates roam the seas, searching for treasure and engaging in battles with other pirates and the Marines, the government's military force. Luffy, the main protagonist, sets out to become the Pirate King and find the One Piece, the ultimate treasure that will grant him the title of the Pirate King and immense power.

Throughout the series, Luffy and his crew, known as the Straw Hat Pirates, travel to various islands, meeting new friends and enemies, and engaging in epic battles. The characters in the series are diverse and unique, with their own distinct personalities and abilities. One Piece TCG

One Piece TCG (Trading Card Game) is a collectible card game based on the popular manga and anime series, One Piece. The game is published by Bandai and is available in multiple languages, including English and Japanese.

In One Piece TCG, players build decks of cards featuring characters and items from the One Piece series. Players then use these decks to battle against each other, using their cards to attack and defend. The goal of the game is to defeat the opponent's crew and become the Pirate King.

The game features various types of cards, including character cards, item cards, and event cards. Character cards represent the characters from the One Piece series and have various abilities and stats. Item cards represent weapons and other items that can be used to strengthen characters or provide other benefits. Event cards represent various events from the One Piece series and can be used to alter the course of the game.

One Piece TCG also features various game modes, including single-player and multiplayer modes. In multiplayer mode, players can compete against each other in various formats, including free-for-all and team battles.

Overall, One Piece TCG is a fun and engaging collectible card game that captures the spirit of the One Piece series. It offers a unique way to experience the world of One Piece and allows fans to collect and play with their favorite characters and items from the series.

Who is going to be the next Pirate King?

On the 11th of March 2023, Adilsons hosted the first One Piece TCG tournament in Mauritius. Pirates from across the island came together to find for one title; The Pirate King.

The battle was fierce, canons were being fired from everywhere and the battle finally reached its climax. Out of the battlefield, emerged, the one true king, the first to be crown the Pirate King, Akhilesh Prayag.

Akhilesh played the colour Blue and built his deck from the starter decks. His Leader was Crocodile; one of the iconic and mysterious characters in One Piece. In the TCG, Blue represents the 7 Warlords (Pirates that are employed by the Marines and have no Bounties).

Challengers are welcome on the Saturday 17th of June 2023 at Citadelle Mall to try and take the title away from the current Pirate King. Come in numbers, if not to play, come and watch our pirates engaging in a fierce battle to the top and learn the gears to become one of the best pirates as well. One Piece merchandise will also be out on sale on the day.

Tournament Details:

The entry fee is at Rs 100 – to be paid before the start of the tournament.

Date: 17/06/2023

Time: 10.30 a.m.

Location: Citadelle Mall. (Presence at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the tournament).
1 one piece poster will be offered on entry.

Toppers will be offered additional posters, depending on the number of participants.

Winner gets one acrylic keychain and an additional poster.

Tournament Process:

The tournament will be that of a swiss format, where pirates face each other, each round based on their current points. A minimum of 4 participants is needed to host the tournament. Depending on the number of participants, the number of rounds is as follows:

4 – 5 players: 3 rounds

6 – 9 players: 4 rounds

10+ players: 5 rounds

Each match will be a best of one and the winner will be the one who defeated his opponent’s leader. Each tournament pairings will be done on the spot after each round. How to participate:

The tournament is open to all as long as they have a legal deck.  Loaner decks will be available for you to test out your skills. Payments can be made on the spot by cash or juice on the day of the tournament.
