What is YU-GI-OH! Adilsons League [YAL]?

YAL is the abbreviation for Yu-Gi-Oh! Adilsons League. It is a season of tournament where people play with the TCG format, at Adilsons. Each season has at least 12 YAL weeks, usually hosted on Sundays from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. But this time exceptionally we are hosting it at La City Trianon!

In YAL, there is a cumulative score that is kept track for each tournament of a season.  Each season comprises 3 weeks of YAL tournament and at the end of the season, both the team score and the individual score are calculated, and prizes are given to the highest ranking team and the highest ranking duelist. Moreover after every 3 YAL weeks, the best Team, and individual Performer of that specific quarter will be rewarded, irrespective of their overall YAL rank. This will, of course, reset after every quarter to give everybody a chance to win something even if they can’t really attend all YALs. 

Do also note that the Best YAL team and duelist of the whole season will be rewarded, too. BUT, what's new this year, is that every individual YAL winner this season will face off in a final showdown to win a temporary invite to the GRAND CHAMP 2023. 

Individual YAL topper gets Entry to Grand Champ.

FAQ

Q: How to participate in YAL?

A: Anyone in Mauritius is allowed to play, as long as they have a legal deck for the events. They also need to be able to pay the entry fee as well as register for the tournament by filling the form here https://forms.gle/iDhUb9cCH3GZwW5r5

Q: How to proceed with payment?

A:Payment can be done at the shop, at Trianon, at a tournament, or via Juice. As for the rewards, they are usually collected at the shop, and, if sent a request to the tournament hosts, at Trianon too.

Q: What are the rules and regulations?

A: Conditions for teams:

Teams can’t have two tier 0 players.

Teams can have a maximum of two tier 1 players.

Teams that have two tier 1 players can't have tier 2 players.

Teams that have a tier 0 player cant have a tier 1 player.

Teams will be able to loan players as from week 2.

Conditions for loans.

A player's price will be (his/her life bricks) / 10

A team will have to pay for loans using leftover life bricks from the team building. (Say, team A used a grand total of 350 bricks, team A has 50 bricks to speed for transfer season)

A team can only loan a tier 0 and a tier 1 player once for the whole season.

A team can only loan a tier 2 player twice for the whole season.

A team can only loan a Casual player thrice for the whole season.

Player banlist can happen anytime during the season and will take effect accordingly.

Transfer season

We will have a transfer season between week 6-7(including week 6 and 7)

The player prices will basically be their individual (life bricks)/10.

Players have to comprise 4 members after a transfer(may it be buying or selling). Teams will have to use bricks leftover from their team building.

(Say, team A used a grand total of 350 bricks, team A has 50 bricks to spread for transfer season)

Player captains will decide transfers.

Team restrictions as mentioned in the ‘’Conditions for teams’’ section still apply while doing transfers.

Transfers can only happen if a player from the receiving team has dropped/decided to Withdraw from the team or has been transferred to another team.

Any transfer will give the selling team life bricks equal to the amount of life bricks paid for said player.

Teams with players dropping or withdrawing from the team will not have any life brick reimbursed.
