Made In Abyss Anime Is Getting Is Getting A Sequel

According to a statement made earlier today, a sequel anime to Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun is in development. In September of last year, the TV anime's second season came to an end. At this point, it is unknown if the new sequel project is a third season of the TV anime Made in Abyss or a different film. The announcement asks fans to “please wait for a while.” The finale of Made in Abyss Season 2 wrapped up the story of the sixth layer of the Abyss. The manga is currently only three chapters ahead of the anime, so it’s not clear when the sequel would come. The watch order for Made in Abyss, animated by Kinema Citrus, is currently:
