If your Medicube Zero Pore Blackhead Mud Mask arrived in a white box instead of the familiar deep blue one, you may wonder whether something is wrong. We have had both box designs at Adilsons Beauty. Here is what the photographs from our shop and other retailers show.
What the two boxes look like
The colour of the outer carton is the visible change discussed here. The blue tube can accompany a white box, as the Olive Young photograph shows. That pairing is also what we would expect when looking at the newer packaging we have received. The photographs do not establish a single changeover date for every market.

StyleKorean, Olive Young Global and YesStyle all list this 100 g mask and show dated buyer photographs of its packaging. StyleKorean shows the earlier blue and later white boxes; Olive Young and YesStyle each show a readable white box. These independent photographs give us a clear reason to reassure you: the white outer box we have received is a presentation seen beyond Adilsons Beauty.

What the side-by-side expiry photo adds
Read the original Reddit post and image. The later printed expiry on the white unit fits a later-dated unit in circulation. Expiry is not a manufacturing date; we cannot calculate when either carton was made from these stamps.
Why might both boxes be circulating?
Our reading is that this is a packaging change across production batches: an earlier blue carton and a newer white one, with both designs able to remain in circulation while stock moves through different shops. That is an Adilsons Beauty inference from the dated buyer photographs and the boxes we have seen, not a production explanation announced by Medicube. We have not found a brand announcement specifically dating this carton change. The visible evidence is still enough to explain why receiving the white box is unsurprising.
Does a different box mean it is fake?
No. A white carton alone is not a reason to declare this mask counterfeit: matching white cartons appear in independent dated photographs on the exact mask listings. You need not worry solely because the outer box is white. The resemblance cannot certify a particular unit, though. At Adilsons Beauty, we buy directly from official distributors in South Korea. This describes our sourcing practice; it does not make a box photograph a test of authenticity. Medicube warns that counterfeit packaging can resemble the genuine product and advises purchasing through its official or authorized channels.
What we can say: the photographed cartons and buyer reviews support blue as the earlier box and white as a newer box for the 100 g mask. What remains separate: whether a particular unit is authentic; whether the formula, ingredients, manufacturer or regional labelling changed; and the exact start date or reason for the carton change. Check the ingredient panel on the unit you have if you need current ingredient information.
The white-box batch we received matches the newer presentation documented in buyer photographs for this 100 g mask. We are comfortable explaining the white outer box as a packaging change, despite the absence of a brand announcement we could verify.
