Best for: anyone with sensitive, reactive, or acne-prone skin who wants to try chemical exfoliation for the first time, or anyone wanting a simple, fragrance-free Centella-based daily toner.

Key benefits: genuinely low irritation risk, FA-safe, fragrance-free, doubles as a light hydrator, and pairs cleanly with almost any other active.

Keep in mind: the exfoliation is deliberately mild — if your main goal is dramatic texture correction, a stronger AHA/BHA toner will get you there faster, and several of this product's headline figures (84% Centella, pH 5.5) are retailer-stated rather than independently confirmed by us against the brand's own site.

Assessment: Consult Oncologist. This formula is fragrance-free and uses a minimal, low-irritant preservative system, which is generally favorable during cancer treatment — but it does contain an active chemical exfoliant (Gluconolactone/PHA), and skin undergoing chemotherapy or radiation is often significantly more fragile and reactive to any exfoliation, even a mild one.

*Evidence is largely in-vitro (lab) research on Centella's individual compounds, not a finished-product pollution-defense study. In-vivo results on this exact formula have not been published.

Hard water interaction: as a toner applied right after cleansing, this product helps rebalance the skin surface after Mauritius' regionally variable hard tap water, rather than worsening it.

AC/humidity swing interaction: the Hyaluronic Acid, Betaine, and Dipropylene Glycol in this formula perform well in ambient outdoor humidity but can pull moisture from the skin during long, dry air-conditioning exposure — always seal with a moisturizer in AC-heavy environments.
