SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 DAYS MIRACLE SERUM
SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 DAYS MIRACLE SERUM (Calms breakouts & fades marks in humid weather)
Values You Can Trust: Vegan-Friendly* / Cruelty-Free
*Self-assessed by Adilsons based on available ingredient data (no animal-derived ingredients detected). / Brand-stated; not certified by an independent body.
Dealing with stubborn breakouts and the dark marks they leave behind can be frustrating, especially in the heat and humidity of Mauritius. This dual-phase serum is designed as a gentle daily solution to soothe troubled skin, exfoliate dead cells, and improve overall skin tone. Shake it up to mix the soothing essence and nourishing oil, giving your skin a balanced treatment to help it find its calm.
At-a-Glance (30s) (who it's for, what to expect)
- Best For: Oily, Combination, and Acne-Prone Skin.
- Key Benefits: Calms active breakouts, gently exfoliates to smooth skin texture, helps fade post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), and controls excess sebum.
- Key Ingredients: Centella Asiatica Extract (14.5%), Tea Tree Leaf Water (10,000ppm), Niacinamide (2%), and a mild blend of AHA, BHA, and PHA.
- Texture & Scent: A lightweight, bi-phase serum (oil and water) that feels refreshing. Has a distinct, strong herbal scent from Tea Tree oil.
- Good to Know: The "30 Days Miracle" is a brand marketing claim; consistent use over 4-8 weeks is needed for visible results. A "purging" period is possible. Contains alcohol and multiple essential oils. Not suitable for those with fungal acne.
Quick Start (60-second routine) (essentials for beginners)
- Cleanse: Start with a clean face.
- Treat with THIS PRODUCT: Shake the bottle well. Apply 2-3 drops to your face and gently pat in.
- Protect (AM) / Moisturise (PM): Follow with your sunscreen in the morning or a moisturiser at night.
Note: Already own a similar exfoliating serum? Finish that first to avoid waste (substitute, don’t stack).
AM Routine Guide (morning order) (how to use in the morning)
While this serum can be used in the morning, we recommend starting with PM-only use to assess tolerance, as it contains exfoliating acids that can increase sun sensitivity.
- Minimalist (4 steps): 1) Gentle Cleanser → 2) Hydrating Toner (optional) → 3) THIS PRODUCT → 4) Sunscreen SPF 30+ (Non-negotiable).
Wait times: Allow the serum to absorb for 60 seconds before applying sunscreen to prevent pilling.
PM Routine Guide (evening order) (recommended for starting)
- Minimalist (3 steps): 1) Cleanser (Double-cleanse if you wear makeup or water-resistant SPF) → 2) THIS PRODUCT → 3) Moisturiser.
- Texture Rule: Apply products from the thinnest texture to the thickest. This serum goes on after any watery toners but before creams.
How to Use (Beginner-friendly) (amount, frequency, and tips)
- Amount: 2-3 drops for the entire face.
- Method: Shake the bottle well to mix the oil and water layers. Dispense onto palms, then gently pat onto the skin until absorbed.
- Frequency: Start by using it 2-3 times per week at night. If your skin tolerates it well after 2 weeks, you can increase to daily use.
- Purging vs. Irritation: This serum accelerates skin cell turnover, which can cause "purging" – a temporary increase in small breakouts in your usual acne spots. This should resolve within 2-4 weeks. If you experience widespread redness, itching, or breakouts in new areas, this is likely irritation, and you should stop using the product.
- Photosensitivity: The AHA, BHA, and PHA ingredients can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) is essential to protect your skin and prevent dark spots from worsening.
- Safety: Avoid the immediate eye and lip area. Do not use on broken or irritated skin. Discontinue use if a persistent burning rash occurs.
Weekly Planner (Example & Alternating Actives) (how to schedule use)
To avoid over-exfoliation, it's best to introduce this serum on alternating nights and avoid using other strong actives on the same day.
Example Week (PM Focus for Beginners):
- Mon: THIS PRODUCT
- Tue: Soothing/Hydrating Night (no strong actives)
- Wed: THIS PRODUCT
- Thu: Soothing/Hydrating Night
- Fri: THIS PRODUCT
- Sat: Soothing/Hydrating Night (or a hydrating sleeping pack)
- Sun: Soothing/Hydrating Night
Rules of Thumb:
- One strong active per night. Do not use this serum on the same night as a high-strength retinoid, another AHA/BHA product, or a strong Vitamin C serum.
- Listen to your skin. If you experience redness or peeling, reduce frequency and focus on hydration and barrier support.
What to Expect (Results Timeline) (immediate → 8+ weeks)
- Immediate: Skin may feel soothed and hydrated upon application due to the Centella and oil blend.
- 2–4 Weeks: You may experience purging as the acids work to clear out clogged pores. Skin texture may start to feel smoother.
- 4–8+ Weeks: With consistent use and daily sun protection, you should notice a reduction in the frequency of breakouts, and post-acne marks may begin to look visibly lighter.
Note: The "30 Days" name is for marketing. True, lasting results in skincare require patience and consistency over several skin cycles (typically 2-3 months).
Myth Replacement (Why this, not that) (safer, effective alternatives)
- Why use a gentle acid serum, not a harsh physical scrub? Harsh scrubs with large, irregular particles (like sugar or crushed pits) can cause micro-tears in the skin. This damages the skin barrier and can trigger inflammation, leading to more breakouts and worsening dark spots (PIH). A well-formulated chemical exfoliant like this serum dissolves the bonds between dead skin cells gently and evenly, revealing smoother skin without causing physical trauma.
Compatibility Guide (layering) (what to pair it with)
- Works Well With: Hydrating ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Snail Mucin, and Panthenol. Barrier-supporting ingredients like Ceramides. You can safely use this serum in a routine with other Niacinamide products.
- Use with Caution: Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid). It's best to use them at different times of day (e.g., Vitamin C in the AM, this serum in the PM) to ensure maximum efficacy and reduce the potential for irritation.
- Avoid Using on the Same Night: High-strength Retinoids (like Tretinoin or Retinal). Alternating nights is the safest approach to prevent over-exfoliation and a compromised skin barrier.
Skin Type Compatibility (best fits and cautions)
- Oily & Combination Skin: Excellent. The formula helps control sebum, clear pores, and is lightweight enough for humid conditions.
- Acne-Prone Skin: Excellent. Specifically formulated with Tea Tree, Centella, and exfoliating acids to target breakouts and inflammation.
- Dry Skin: Use with caution. The acids and alcohol may be drying. If you use it, be sure to follow with a rich, barrier-supporting moisturiser.
- Sensitive Skin: Use with caution. Contains alcohol and a blend of essential oils which can be irritating for some. A patch test is highly recommended.

Complete Ingredient Transparency (key actives + full INCI)
Key Actives Explained:
- Centella Asiatica Extract (14.5%): A powerful soothing ingredient that calms inflammation, promotes healing, and helps repair the skin barrier. Excellent for reducing the redness of active breakouts. (Ingredient Rationale)
- Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Water (10,000ppm): Known for its natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, helping to purify pores and control acne-causing bacteria. (Ingredient Rationale)
- Niacinamide (2%): A multi-tasking vitamin that helps brighten skin tone, fade dark spots (PIH), regulate sebum production, and strengthen the skin barrier. (Ingredient Rationale)
- AHA, BHA, PHA Complex: A blend of acids (Glycolic, Lactic, Malic, Salicylic, Lactobionic) at a very low concentration. They work to gently exfoliate the skin's surface and inside pores, smoothing texture and preventing clogs. Due to the serum's pH of ~5.5, the exfoliating effect is extremely mild. (Ingredient Rationale)

Allergens & Fragrance Disclosure (scent profile and potential irritants)
- Fragrance Status: Contains multiple essential oils; no synthetic fragrance added.
- Scent Profile: Has a very strong, sharp, medicinal, and herbal scent, predominantly of Tea Tree oil. Intensity: 4/5.
- EU Declared Allergens: This product contains Limonene, Citronellol, Linalool, and Geraniol, which are naturally occurring components of the essential oils used.
- Other Potential Irritants: Contains 'Alcohol' which can be drying for some skin types. The high concentration of various plant extracts and essential oils can be a trigger for very sensitive or reactive skin. A patch test is strongly advised.
Full Safety & Patch Test Protocol (important precautions)
Who should use with caution:
- Individuals with very dry or sensitive skin due to the presence of acids and alcohol.
- Those with known allergies to essential oils or specific botanicals.
- Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Contains Salicylic Acid (BHA). While the concentration is low, it is generally recommended to consult a doctor before using BHA-containing products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Teens: Suitable for teenage acne but should be introduced slowly (2x a week) into a simple routine of cleanser-moisturiser-sunscreen.
Patch Test Protocol:
- Apply a pea-sized amount of the serum to a clean, small area of skin, such as behind your ear or on your inner jawline.
- Wait 24-48 hours.
- If you experience any significant redness, itching, burning, or rash, do not use the product on your full face.
Sensory & Chemical Profile (texture, feel, and formulation)
- Texture: A bi-phase formula that, when shaken, becomes a very lightweight, watery liquid with a slight oily slip. It absorbs relatively quickly.
- Finish: Leaves a slightly dewy, moisturised finish that is not heavy or greasy.
- pH: Approximately 5.5. This pH is ideal for supporting a healthy skin barrier, but it is not acidic enough for the AHA/BHA/PHA ingredients to perform significant chemical exfoliation. The primary benefits likely come from the soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients.
- Fungal Acne (Malassezia) Compatibility: Not FA-Safe. Contains several ingredients that can trigger fungal acne, including Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil and multiple other plant oils.
Troubleshooting Guide (fix common issues) (quick solutions)
- Issue: My skin is breaking out more after starting! Solution: This could be "purging." It should be small pimples in your usual breakout areas and should subside within 4 weeks. Reduce use to 2x a week and ensure you are cleansing thoroughly and moisturising well. If breakouts are in new areas or are red and itchy, it's likely irritation; stop using the product.
- Issue: The serum feels a bit oily or sits on my skin. Solution: Make sure you are shaking the bottle vigorously before each use to properly emulsify the oil and water layers. Also, use only 2-3 drops for your entire face; applying too much can lead to a heavy feeling.
- Issue: I'm not seeing a "miracle" in 30 days. Solution: Skincare results take time. The "30 Days" claim is marketing. Look for gradual improvements in texture and breakout frequency over 2-3 months. Consistent use and, most importantly, daily sunscreen are key to seeing results with any brightening or exfoliating product.
Climate Fit for Mauritius (local usage advice)
- Humid Summers: The lightweight, watery texture is excellent for the hot and humid Mauritian climate, as it won't feel heavy or suffocating. The tea tree and sebum-controlling properties are ideal for managing breakouts that can flare up in the heat.
- Drier Winters/AC Exposure: The oil phase of the serum provides a light layer of moisture, but if you're in air-conditioning or during the drier winter months, you may need to layer a more substantial moisturiser on top to prevent dehydration.
- Sun Alert: Mauritius has a high UV index year-round. Because this serum contains exfoliating acids, your skin will be more vulnerable to sun damage. Daily application of a high-SPF, broad-spectrum sunscreen is absolutely mandatory.

Evidence & Sources (the science behind the product) (brand vs independent data)
- Ingredient Rationale: The benefits of this serum are based on the known functions of its individual ingredients. Centella Asiatica is well-documented for its soothing properties, Tea Tree for its antimicrobial effects, Niacinamide for brightening and sebum control, and AHA/BHA/PHA for exfoliation.
- Brand Claim: The "30 Days Miracle" is a brand claim based on their internal satisfaction studies. No public dataset is available for independent verification. Clinical results for skincare typically require 8-12 weeks of consistent use.

Genuine Community Experiences (unbiased, real-user feedback)
Aggregated sentiment from verified purchasers on Reddit and YesStyle (2023-2025). Individual results vary.
"I have dehydrated oily sensitive skin and acne. I am less red and my acne has gotten less. Please remember everybody's skin is different and if a product works for one person doesnt mean it will have those effects."
"This serum was confusing at first but I ended up really enjoying it. I think it's well formulated for sensitive combination skin with some imperfections... it is mildly exfoliating but also nourishing due to the oil content. Over time, I noticed it did help with texture and redness."
A Fair Caveat: "This just sat on my skin and minded its own business until I took a towel to it. Don't even get me started on wearing it under makeup... my foundation definitely thought it was a slip-and-slide... It turned my face into an oil slick."

Frequently Asked Questions (your questions, answered)
Can I use this with Vitamin C or Retinol?
It's best not to use them in the same routine. Use Vitamin C in the morning and the Miracle Serum at night. For Retinol, alternate nights: use the Miracle Serum one night and Retinol the next to avoid irritation.
Is the strong smell normal?
Yes. The serum has a very potent medicinal and herbal scent due to the high concentration of Tea Tree Leaf Water and other essential oils. It does not contain any artificial fragrances.
How do I know if I'm purging or having a bad reaction?
Purging typically consists of small whiteheads in areas where you usually get acne, and they should clear up faster than normal breakouts, usually within 2-4 weeks. A bad reaction or irritation involves breakouts in new areas, persistent redness, itching, or a burning sensation. If you suspect irritation, stop using the product.
Can this serum shrink my pores?
Pore size is genetically determined and cannot be permanently shrunk. However, this serum can make pores *appear* smaller by clearing out the sebum and dead skin cells that clog and stretch them, and by controlling excess oil production.
The Final Verdict (At-a-Glance) (summary of pros and cons)
Best For: Individuals with oily, combination, or acne-prone skin looking for a multi-tasking serum to manage breakouts, smooth texture, and fade marks.
Key Benefits:
- Calms inflammation and redness with high concentrations of Centella and Tea Tree.
- Provides very gentle, daily-use exfoliation to prevent clogged pores.
- Helps to lighten post-acne marks and even out skin tone over time.
Keep in Mind:
- The strong, herbal scent from essential oils can be overpowering for some.
- Contains alcohol and is not suitable for fungal acne-prone skin.
- The exfoliating effect is very mild due to the skin-friendly pH; its primary strength lies in its soothing and anti-inflammatory benefits.
