Beauty of Joseon has renamed its Relief Sun SPF50+ PA++++ from “Rice + Probiotics” to “Rice + Niacinamide.” The brand’s own product page shows the new name and tube, and its FAQ says the formula, ingredients and size have not changed. Both package names can appear while the earlier label is phased out. We have photographed the two carton versions from our own Adilsons Beauty stock.
Beauty of Joseon shows the updated Relief Sun
On the official 50 mL product page, the brand now calls the sunscreen “Relief Sun : Rice + Niacinamide (SPF50+ PA++++)” and displays a tube with that updated name. The screenshot below shows the brand’s product image and title together. The page’s URL still contains “rice-probiotics”; the visible current title and image are the relevant evidence of how the brand presents it now.
Beauty of Joseon addresses the old-versus-new question directly in the FAQ on the same page. It identifies the previous name, Rice + Probiotics, and the updated name, Rice + Niacinamide. It says this is part of a global labeling refresh intended to make product names and information clearer and more consistent. According to the brand, the product’s formula, ingredients and size remain unchanged and both labels may be seen during the transition.
The two cartons from our own stock
Here are the two box fronts together. The newer carton on the left says Rice + Niacinamide; the earlier carton on the right says Rice + Probiotics. Both display SPF50+ PA++++. The brand’s new product presentation and its explicit FAQ explain why these two names appear on Relief Sun packaging.
What changed: the full printed product name. What the brand says stayed the same: the formula, ingredients and size of this Relief Sun. This is a confirmed name and label update, with older and newer packaging overlapping during the phaseout.

How should you use Relief Sun?
Beauty of Joseon’s directions: apply the sunscreen generously and evenly over sun-exposed areas as the last step of your morning skincare routine, and reapply at least every two hours. The brand advises a water-resistant sunscreen when swimming or sweating, frequent reapplication after perspiring, swimming or towel drying, and protective clothing and shade. Our carton fronts show SPF50+ PA++++; for the application steps, we follow the brand’s published directions for this product.

A comfortable cleanser and moisturiser, where needed, plus sunscreen may be enough; you do not have to buy a new treatment product to use Relief Sun. When you are ready to address a separate concern, introduce one justified new treatment step at a time so it is easier to see what suits you. Choose a sunscreen texture you can use consistently and follow the brand’s reapplication directions.
