The ARENCIA 4PCS Discovery Kit is a travel-size sampler that pairs one leave-on treatment serum with three different rinse-off cleansers from the same K-beauty brand: a 12g mini of the Holy Hyssop Serum 30 (Niacinamide, a diluted Vitamin C cascade, Adenosine, Ceramide NP, and a multi-form Hyaluronate blend), plus 15g minis of the Fresh Green, Fresh Royal Rosehip, and White Chamomile Tea Rice Mochi Cleansers. It is not a complete routine β€” there is no toner, moisturizer, or sunscreen inside, and the three cleansers all do the same rinse-off job rather than three different ones.

In Mauritius's humidity, the mochi-paste cleansers rinse clean without stripping, and the serum's watery jelly texture absorbs quickly without pilling under sunscreen. This set is not suitable as someone's only skincare step, and it is not a targeted acne or hyperpigmentation treatment β€” it is a way to sample four ARENCIA formulas in small sizes before buying any of them full-size.

Why These Products Are Paired

The Holy Hyssop Serum 30 (12g) is the kit's only leave-on treatment: a water-based gel serum built around Niacinamide, a four-form Vitamin C cascade, Adenosine, Ceramide NP, and an eight-form Hyaluronate/Hyssop-extract complex. Its role is hydration and barrier support with a secondary brightening angle; its honest limitation is that most of its named actives (the Vitamin C forms, Ceramide NP, Hyssop extract) sit below the estimated 1% line in the disclosed INCI, so this reads as a supportive, not headline-strength, treatment. The Fresh Green Rice Mochi Cleanser (15g) is a rinse-off, amino-acid-surfactant cream-to-foam cleanser built on rice powder and sweet almond seed meal; its role is daily oil/pore-focused cleansing, and its limitation is a declared Fragrance entry plus several fungal-acne-conditional plant oils (sunflower, olive, jojoba), which matter more on skin prone to reactivity than in general use.

The Fresh Royal Rosehip Rice Mochi Cleanser (15g) shares the same amino-acid-surfactant base but swaps the identity botanicals for rosehip, chamomile (Matricaria), and apple fiber, giving it a brightening-leaning marketing angle; it also carries an undifferentiated Fragrance entry. The White Chamomile Tea Rice Mochi Cleanser (15g) uses chamomile, green tea, oolong tea, and licorice root extracts on the same surfactant family, and reads as fragrance-free based on its disclosed ingredient list, making it the gentlest-leaning of the three cleansers on paper. None of the three cleansers is objectively "better" than the others β€” they are variants of the same cleanse step, and the kit's value is in letting a shopper find which botanical profile and scent they personally prefer.

Together, these four items work as a discovery format, not a routine: the serum covers one leave-on treatment step, and the three cleansers are alternative fills for a single cleanse step, not three additive ones. What remains missing for a full routine is a toner/essence layer (optional), a moisturizer (essential), and a sunscreen (essential for daytime use) β€” none of which is included in this kit.

Where This Set Fits in Your Routine

This set functions as a foundation-and-sampling entry point rather than an active treatment driver: the cleansers occupy the first or only cleanse step of a routine, and the serum occupies an early leave-on treatment slot, before heavier creams or targeted actives.

This set includes:

  • One rinse-off cleanse step, available in three interchangeable botanical variants (use one per wash, not all three together).
  • One leave-on hydration-and-support serum (Niacinamide, diluted Vitamin C forms, Adenosine, Ceramide NP, multi-form Hyaluronate).

You will still need:

  • A daily moisturizer to seal the serum's hydration in β€” not included.
  • A broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen for morning use β€” not included.
  • A toner or essence layer, if that's part of your normal routine β€” optional, not included.

You may consider later: a full-size 120g jar of whichever cleanser variant you liked best, or the full-size 50g Holy Hyssop Serum 30, once the minis run out.

Avoid duplicating for now: don't run all three cleanser minis on the same day, and don't add a second Niacinamide- or Vitamin-C-forward serum on top of this one until you know how your skin responds to it.

Is This Set Right for You?

May suit you when: you're new to ARENCIA and want to try its cleanser textures and its flagship serum before buying full-size; you like rotating cleanser scent/texture by day or mood; you want a compact travel kit that covers one cleanse-and-treat pairing in small jars.

You may only need part of the set when: you already own a full-size ARENCIA Rice Mochi Cleanser and only want to try the serum (or vice versa) β€” in that case, buying just the missing piece full-size is the more efficient path.

Choose another routine first when: your skin is currently reactive, broken-out with open lesions, or mid-flare β€” patch-test each of the four items separately rather than starting a new set during a flare; if you need a complete AM/PM routine in one purchase, this kit will leave you short a moisturizer and a sunscreen.

If you already have an open facial cleanser or a comparable treatment serum that's working for you, finish it before starting this kit β€” sustainable use beats stockpiling half-used jars.

How to Begin

Start with one cleanser variant on its own for the first several washes so you know how your skin reacts to that specific formula, rather than rotating all three from day one. Introduce the Holy Hyssop Serum separately, ideally a few days after settling on a cleanser, applying it once daily in the evening at first before moving to twice-daily if tolerated. Only after both the cleanser and the serum feel comfortable should you start rotating between the other two cleanser variants.

Nothing in this kit needs to be introduced alongside a new retinoid, strong acid, or prescription treatment β€” if you're already using one of those, keep it in your PM routine and add this kit's serum in the morning or on off-nights instead, and monitor for 14 days before changing anything else.

What Progress May Look Like

Immediately: skin should feel clean, not tight, after any of the three cleansers, and the serum should absorb within roughly a minute without a sticky residue. Over 2-4 weeks: you should be able to tell which cleanser scent/texture you actually prefer, and the serum's hydration support should show as less midday tightness if that was a starting complaint. Any brightening or "glow" effect from the serum's diluted Vitamin C/Niacinamide combination is a secondary, gradual benefit, not a fast or dramatic one, since most of those actives sit below the estimated 1% line in the disclosed formula.

What This Set May Not Address

This kit cannot replace a moisturizer or a sunscreen β€” using only the serum and a cleanser without either leaves a routine incomplete for daily wear. It is not formulated as an active acne, hyperpigmentation, or anti-aging treatment; the serum's ingredient concentrations are not disclosed and read as supportive rather than headline-strength on the available evidence. If your main concern is active breakouts, deep hyperpigmentation, or visible fine lines, a dedicated BHA/acne cleanser, a brightening serum with a disclosed active percentage, or a retinoid product would more directly address those β€” and a professional assessment may be more appropriate for persistent concerns.

The best routine is the smallest one that covers your actual needs and that you can use consistently.

Component Type Net Volume Key Active Routine Role
Holy Hyssop Serum 30 Leave-on treatment serum 12g (kit size) Niacinamide, Adenosine, Ceramide NP (concentrations not disclosed) Hydration + barrier support, secondary brightening
Fresh Green Rice Mochi Cleanser Rinse-off cream-to-foam cleanser 15g (kit size) Rice powder, Centella Asiatica extract Cleanse (oil/pore-focus variant)
Fresh Royal Rosehip Rice Mochi Cleanser Rinse-off cream-to-foam cleanser 15g (kit size) Rosehip extract, Chamomile (Matricaria) extract Cleanse (brightening-focus variant)
White Chamomile Tea Rice Mochi Cleanser Rinse-off cream-to-foam cleanser 15g (kit size) Chamomile, green tea, licorice root extracts Cleanse (soothing-focus variant)

Skin types: best suited to normal, combination, and oily skin looking to sample cleanser textures; usable by dry/sensitive skin with a patch test first, particularly for the two fragrance-containing cleansers. AM/PM suitability: both, per the routine guides below. Routine complexity: Straightforward.

MFDS classification: all four components are General Cosmetics; no component has confirmed Korean MFDS Functional Cosmetic registration, though the serum's Adenosine content is a recognized functional-cosmetic ingredient class in Korea (not the same as this specific SKU holding that registration).

Pros: lets you trial four ARENCIA formulas before a full-size purchase; travel-friendly jar sizes; the serum is genuinely fragrance-free; two of the three cleansers share a comfortable rinse-off surfactant base. Caveats: not a complete routine on its own; two cleansers contain an undifferentiated Fragrance entry; most of the serum's named actives are undisclosed in concentration and sit below the estimated 1% line.

The Over-Cleansing Cycle (Why your skin feels worse)

In Mauritius heat, the oily or "grimy" feeling by midday is sebum and sweat doing their normal job, not dirt building up β€” washing more than twice a day strips the skin's acid mantle (target pH roughly 4.5-5.5) and can trigger compensatory oil production, the exact problem many people are trying to cleanse away.

All three cleansers in this kit are amino-acid-surfactant formulas (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate/Glycinate/Glutamate-anchored), which are gentler on the skin barrier than classic soap-based or sulfate cleansers. Using one of them once or twice daily, rather than reaching for multiple cleansing steps, is the pattern that avoids over-stripping.

Age and Tween Suitability (Parental Guide)

Classification: YELLOW (14+ with guidance). The three cleansers alone would be GREEN (basic rinse-off cleansers suit most ages), but the Holy Hyssop Serum contains Niacinamide, Adenosine, and a diluted Vitamin C cascade β€” mild, broadly-tolerated actives, but still functional ingredients rather than a plain hydrator, so this kit as a whole is better suited to teens 14+ under a guardian's guidance than to younger children.

For a younger user, the simplest approach is to use one of the three cleansers on its own and skip the serum until later, keeping the routine to cleanser-moisturizer-SPF.

Quick Start (60-Second Essentials)
  • Step 1 (Cleanse): Pick one cleanser mini. Massage an almond-sized amount onto damp skin, add a splash of water to emulsify into a light lather, and rinse.
  • Step 2 (Treat): Once your skin is dry, press 2-3 drops of the Holy Hyssop Serum onto face and neck.
  • Step 3 (Seal): Follow with your own moisturizer (AM: add sunscreen) β€” not included in this kit.

Introduce this set as the ONLY new products in your routine. Wait a full 14 days before adding anything else. This isolation window ensures you can identify whether any reaction is caused by this specific cleanser or the serum.

AM Routine Guide (Morning sequence)
  1. Cleanse with your chosen mochi cleanser variant.
  2. Optional: your own toner/essence.
  3. Holy Hyssop Serum 30 (this kit) β€” 2-3 drops, pressed in.
  4. Your own moisturizer (not included).
  5. Your own broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen (not included) β€” mandatory for daytime use given the serum's Vitamin C and Niacinamide content, which are more effective alongside consistent sun protection.

In Mauritius's humid mornings, the serum's Hyaluronate complex draws moisture from the humid air efficiently β€” this works in your favor outdoors, but if you spend the morning in air conditioning, seal it with a proper moisturizer so it doesn't pull moisture from your own skin instead.

PM Routine Guide (Evening sequence)
  1. If wearing sunscreen or makeup, first-cleanse with an oil or balm cleanser (not included β€” see Complete Your Routine below).
  2. Second-cleanse with your chosen mochi cleanser variant from this kit.
  3. Optional: your own toner/essence.
  4. Holy Hyssop Serum 30 (this kit) β€” 2-3 drops, pressed in.
  5. Your own night moisturizer (not included).

If you're also using a retinoid or a strong acid at night, apply that after the serum and before your moisturizer, on nights when you run that active, and skip the serum's Vitamin C forms and the acid on the same night only if you notice stinging (see the Conflict Solver section below).

How to Use (Amounts, technique, and tips)
Component Amount Technique
Any cleanser mini Almond-sized Massage on damp skin, emulsify with water, rinse; avoid the immediate eye area.
Holy Hyssop Serum 2-3 drops Press into face and neck with fingertips; avoid rubbing.

Emulsify first for the cleansers: the mochi-paste texture needs a splash of water massaged in before it turns creamy and rinses cleanly β€” trying to rinse it dry-first leaves residue. Pat/press, do not rub the serum in, since friction can reduce how evenly a thin serum spreads and increases irritation risk on freshly-cleansed skin.

Hands deliver 100% of the serum; cotton pads absorb roughly 30-40% of a liquid product, so apply the serum with clean hands rather than a pad. Wait roughly 30-60 seconds after the serum before layering a moisturizer, and allow 10-15 minutes before sunscreen if you're layering multiple watery steps first.

Routine Encyclopedia (Full AM/PM Stack Reference)

This is an encyclopedia map of all product types. You do not use all of these daily. You select modules based on your skin state.

Global rules: viscosity ladder thinnest to thickest, water-phase before oil-phase, treatments before seals. Wait-time defaults: watery layers 10-20s, serum layers 30-60s, 10-15 minutes before sunscreen if going outdoors. Default amounts: watery toner/essence 5-8 drops; serum/ampoule 2-3 drops (this kit's Holy Hyssop Serum uses this default); gel moisturizer 1-1.5 peas, cream 1-2 peas; sunscreen 2-finger rule for the face. If a routine pills, stings, or feels heavy, reduce layers rather than adding more.

AM Maximum Stack (this kit's components bolded where they fit):

  1. Rinse/Gentle Cleanse (optional) β€” any of this kit's three cleanser minis fits here.
  2. pH-Prep Toner (optional) β€” not included.
  3. Hydrating Toner Layers (optional) β€” not included.
  4. Essence (optional) β€” not included.
  5. Mist (optional micro-step) β€” not included.
  6. Booster/Soothing Serum (optional) β€” not included.
  7. Antioxidant Lane, choose one β€” this kit's Holy Hyssop Serum can occupy this slot given its diluted Vitamin C cascade, 2-3 drops, wait 30-60s.
  8. Pigment Support Lane (optional) β€” not included; pigmentation routines still require daily SPF.
  9. Hydration Serum Lane (optional) β€” not included.
  10. Oil-Control/Sebum Lane (niacinamide) β€” this kit's serum can also cover this role given its Niacinamide content, so don't double it with a separate niacinamide product the same day.
  11. Peptides/Repair Lane (optional) β€” not included.
  12. Eye Serum (optional) β€” not included.
  13. Moisturizer β€” not included, essential.
  14. Optional Sealing Layer β€” not included.
  15. Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ β€” not included, non-negotiable.
  16. Lip SPF (optional) β€” not included.

In AM, prioritize comfort and SPF adherence over stacking. In high humidity, fewer layers often perform better.

PM Maximum Stack (this kit's components bolded where they fit):

  1. Micellar pre-cleanse (optional) β€” not included.
  2. Oil Cleanser/Balm (if wearing SPF/makeup) β€” not included, see Complete Your Routine below.
  3. Water Cleanser (second cleanse) β€” this kit's cleanser minis fit here.
  4. pH-Prep Toner (optional) β€” not included.
  5. Hydrating Toner Layers (optional) β€” not included.
  6. Essence (optional) β€” not included.
  7. Soothing/Barrier Serum (optional) β€” not included.
  8. Anchor treatment slot β€” this kit's Holy Hyssop Serum sits here, 2-3 drops, wait 30-60 seconds, unless you're also running a retinoid or acid as your night's anchor, in which case place the serum before that active.
  9. Targeted Serum (optional) β€” only if non-conflicting.
  10. Moisturizer β€” not included, essential.
  11. Sleeping Mask (optional) β€” not included.
  12. Occlusive Seal (optional) β€” not included.
  13. Spot Treatment (as needed) β€” not included.
  14. Lip Sleeping Mask (optional) β€” not included.

Do not layer retinoids with AHA/BHA in the same night; keep "one lane" per night. One-lane rule: Retinoid OR Exfoliation OR Strong Vitamin C (LAA) OR Acne-control active per routine β€” barrier/hydration can always accompany. If unsure, default to the safest lane (barrier/hydration) and reduce layers.

Viscosity and Layering Science (Where it fits)
Component Format Viscosity Tier Placement
Any cleanser mini Cream-to-foam rinse-off paste Thick paste (rinsed off, not layered) First or second cleanse step only
Holy Hyssop Serum Water-based gel serum Light fluid After cleansing/toning, before moisturizer

The cleansers never enter a layering sequence since they're rinsed off before the next step. The serum should go on after any watery toner/essence and before your moisturizer, following the standard thinnest-to-thickest rule.

Weekly Planner (Scheduling actives)
Day Cleanser Serum
Mon Fresh Green Holy Hyssop Serum (AM or PM)
Tue Fresh Rosehip Holy Hyssop Serum
Wed White Chamomile Tea Holy Hyssop Serum
Thu Fresh Green Holy Hyssop Serum
Fri Fresh Rosehip Holy Hyssop Serum
Sat White Chamomile Tea Holy Hyssop Serum
Sun Any variant, or rest Holy Hyssop Serum

The serum is mild enough (no strong acids or retinoids) to run daily once you've confirmed you tolerate it; the cleanser rotation above is a suggestion for sampling variety, not a requirement β€” using just one variant every day works equally well. Exceeding daily use of any of these four items does not speed up results β€” it just uses the small jars up faster.

What to Expect (Results Timeline)
Phase Timeframe What You Will Notice
Immediate 0-24h Skin feels clean but not tight after cleansing; serum absorbs without stickiness within about a minute.
Adjustment Week 1-2 You should be able to identify a favorite cleanser variant; any mild tingling from the serum's Vitamin C forms should be transient β€” discontinue if burning persists beyond 30 seconds.
Early Support Week 2-4 Reduced midday tightness if that was a starting complaint, from the serum's hydration complex.
Plateau Week 4+ (kit likely depleted) Results stabilize at whatever level this mini-size format can provide; continued benefit from here depends on committing to a full-size version of your favorites.
Who Should Use This (Clinical triage)
Category Guidance
PROCEED IF Skin barrier is currently intact, you're not mid-flare, and you want to sample ARENCIA's cleanser and serum formats before a full-size purchase.
PAUSE IF Your skin is currently reactive, purging from another new active, or your barrier feels compromised (stinging on moisturizer, tightness within 30 minutes of cleansing).
STOP/CONSULT IF You have active eczema/psoriasis in the treatment area, are pregnant/nursing and want individualized guidance beyond this kit's ingredient screen, or have a known allergy to chamomile, ragweed-family plants, or rice-derived ingredients.
Skin Type Compatibility
Skin Type Compatibility Notes
Oily/Combination Good All three cleansers and the serum's lightweight gel texture suit oil-prone skin well.
Dry Good with care Emulsify cleansers thoroughly with water; the serum's Hyaluronate/Ceramide complex is supportive, but a proper moisturizer (not included) is still essential.
Sensitive Conditional The White Chamomile Tea cleanser and the serum both read as fragrance-free; the Fresh Green and Fresh Rosehip cleansers contain an undifferentiated Fragrance entry β€” patch test those two first.

Bundle-wide suitability follows the least-tolerant essential component: if fragrance is a known trigger, start with the White Chamomile Tea cleanser and treat the other two as optional, skippable variants.

Targeted Concerns (What it treats)
  • Daily surface cleanse and light physical polish (all three cleansers): rice powder and, in the Fresh Green variant, sweet almond seed meal, lift surface debris without harsh grit.
  • General hydration and barrier support (serum): the Hyaluronate/Ceramide NP complex supports moisture retention; concentrations are undisclosed so this is a supportive, not headline, benefit.
  • Secondary brightening angle (serum, Fresh Rosehip cleanser): Niacinamide and the diluted Vitamin C cascade in the serum, plus rosehip extract in one cleanser, are marketed toward tone-evening, though most of these sit below the estimated 1% line in the serum's disclosed INCI.

What this kit cannot do: it cannot resolve active cystic acne, cannot meaningfully treat established hyperpigmentation at these disclosed (or undisclosed-but-low-INCI-position) concentrations, and cannot replace a moisturizer or sunscreen.

Best Paired With (Synergistic pairings)

Within the kit, any one of the three cleansers pairs cleanly with the serum β€” they share no conflicting actives, since the cleansers are rinsed off before the serum goes on. The real gaps this kit leaves are a moisturizer and a sunscreen; see Complete Your Routine below for stock-verified, non-committal options for each.

Conflict Solver for Active Ingredients

This is a conflict-solver for ACTIVE ingredients. If you run multiple actives, use these rules to avoid irritation, deactivation, and barrier damage.

One Active Lane per routine: run only one primary active lane per AM or PM session (Retinoid OR Acid Exfoliation OR L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C OR a strong acne active). The Holy Hyssop Serum's diluted Vitamin C cascade and Niacinamide are mild enough that most people can run them alongside a separate retinoid or acid on alternating nights, but not layered in the exact same application.

  • Serum Γ— your own strong Retinoid/Tretinoin: apply on separate nights, or Vitamin C/Niacinamide AM and retinoid PM β€” the classic split.
  • Serum Γ— your own Benzoyl Peroxide: don't layer in the same session; BPO can oxidize Vitamin C's activity. Use the serum AM, BPO PM, or alternate days.
  • Serum Γ— your own high-% AHA/BHA: if layering in the same routine causes stinging, apply the serum first, wait 15-20 minutes, then the acid β€” or split AM/PM.

Barrier override: if your moisturizer stings or your skin feels tight within 30 minutes of cleansing, pause all actives (including this serum) and run a barrier-only routine for 3-7 days before resuming.

Do not layer retinoids with AHA/BHA in the same night; keep "one lane" per night. If unsure, default to the safest lane β€” barrier and hydration β€” and reduce layers.

Wudu and Prayer Compatibility

The three cleansers are rinsed off before ablution, so they raise no wudu question once rinsed. The Holy Hyssop Serum is a leave-on, water-based gel; based on its declared formula (no heavy silicones, waxes, or film-forming polymers dominating the base), it reads as likely water-permeable rather than fully occlusive, though this has not been independently tested for water-permeability.

Adilsons provides this assessment based on the product's physical properties. Rulings on wudu validity vary between scholars. Consult your own trusted Islamic authority.

Myth Replacement (Common misconceptions)

MYTH: "A discovery kit with more jars in it must be a more complete routine than a single full-size product." REALITY: This kit's three cleansers all do the same job β€” you use one at a time β€” so in terms of routine coverage, it functions closer to "one cleanser plus one serum" than "four separate skincare steps."

MYTH: "Clearing stubborn blackheads in humidity requires an aggressive physical scrub." REALITY: Coarse scrubs and DIY abrasives damage the skin barrier and can trigger rebound oiliness; the finely-ground rice powder in these cleansers polishes gently while respecting the skin's natural acidic pH.

Climate Fit for Mauritius
Season Conditions How to Adjust
Summer (Dec-Mar) Hot, humid Any of the three cleansers helps sweep away sweat-induced stickiness; use the serum's full 2-3 drops since humidity supports its hydration performance.
Winter (Jun-Sep) Drier, more AC use Emulsify cleansers thoroughly to avoid over-drying; seal the serum with a proper moisturizer since AC reduces ambient humidity for the Hyaluronate complex to draw from.
Cyclone season (Jan-Mar) High humidity swings No specific adjustment needed for these four rinse-off/leave-on formats.

Mauritius tap water hardness varies by region; hard water can leave a mineral film after cleansing that feels tight. A pH-balanced toner used after any of these cleansers helps counteract that residue, though a toner is not included in this kit.

Complete Ingredient Transparency

Each of the four components has its own distinct formula. No ingredient list below is merged across components β€” see each component's own research file for full sourcing detail.

Holy Hyssop Serum 30 (formula shared with the standalone 50g jar; this kit's 12g size was not independently re-verified against its own INCI): Water, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Niacinamide, Methylpropanediol, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Arginine, Dextrin, Ethylhexylglycerin, [--- Estimated 1% Line ---] Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Adenosine, Pvm/Ma Copolymer, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hyssopus Officinalis Extract, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Ascorbic Acid, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Tocopherol, Panthenol, Pyridoxine, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Ceramide NP, Glycosphingolipids, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Potassium Hyaluronate, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate.

*The Vitamin C cascade (3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Ascorbic Acid, Ascorbyl Glucoside), Ceramide NP, and Hyssopus Officinalis Extract all appear below the estimated 1% line in this INCI list, suggesting trace/sub-efficacious concentrations. Their inclusion may be primarily for marketing rather than clinical effect. Adenosine sits below the same line but is a Korean MFDS-recognized wrinkle-care ingredient historically used at low effective doses (~0.04%), so its position alone doesn't rule out efficacy the way it would for a headline brightening claim.

Fresh Green Rice Mochi Cleanser: Glycerin, Water, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Meal, 1,2-Hexanediol, Coconut Acid, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Cellulose, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Powder, Sodium Isethionate, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Glyceryl Stearate, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Propanediol, Sodium Chloride, Xanthan Gum, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Powder, Dextrin, Fragrance, [--- Estimated 1% Line ---] Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Butylene Glycol, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Dipropylene Glycol, Lupinus Albus Seed Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Adansonia Digitata Fruit Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract.

*Centella Asiatica Extract and Sodium Hyaluronate appear below the estimated 1% line in this INCI, suggesting a supportive rather than headline concentration.

Fresh Royal Rosehip Rice Mochi Cleanser: Glycerin, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Water, Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Powder, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Coconut Acid, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Cellulose, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Powder, Sodium Isethionate, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fiber, Glyceryl Stearate, [--- Estimated 1% Line ---] Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Propanediol, Sodium Chloride, Xanthan Gum, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Dextrin, Fragrance, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Cocoyl Apple Amino Acids, Hexylene Glycol, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate.

White Chamomile Tea Rice Mochi Cleanser (fuller list obtained this run; medium confidence, WebSearch-aggregated rather than a directly-fetched primary source): Glycerin, Water, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Camellia Japonica Flower Extract, Angelica Keiskei Extract, Sodium Chloride, [--- Estimated 1% Line ---] Hydroxyacetophenone, Caprylyl Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Surfactin, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Uuron-Cha Ekisu (Oolong Tea Extract).

Preservative systems found in the declared INCI: 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, and Disodium EDTA (a chelator, not itself a preservative) β€” no traditional paraben was found in any of the four declared lists.

Allergens and Fragrance Disclosure
Component Fragrance Status EU-26 Allergens Detected
Holy Hyssop Serum Fragrance-Free (no Fragrance/Parfum entry in the declared 38-ingredient list) None detected in declared INCI.
Fresh Green Cleanser Contains Fragrance Hexyl Cinnamal, explicitly named.
Fresh Rosehip Cleanser Contains Fragrance None individually named; an undifferentiated Fragrance entry is present.
White Chamomile Tea Cleanser Likely Fragrance-Free (no Fragrance/Parfum entry found; medium confidence) None detected in declared INCI.

*Based on brand-declared INCI aggregated via web research, not a directly-fetched primary ingredient database page for every component. The term "Fragrance" in the Fresh Green and Fresh Rosehip cleansers may contain undisclosed allergens beyond Hexyl Cinnamal; patch test advised for sensitive individuals.

Cumulative fragrance burden if you rotate all three cleansers: two of the three (Fresh Green, Fresh Rosehip) contribute a fragrance exposure on the days you use them; the White Chamomile Tea variant and the serum do not. A bundle-wide "fragrance-free" claim cannot be made for this kit as a whole, only for two of its four components.

Cross-Reactivity and Drug Interactions

The White Chamomile Tea cleanser contains Anthemis Nobilis (Roman Chamomile) Flower Extract; the Fresh Rosehip cleanser contains Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria/German Chamomile) Extract. Individuals with a known ragweed-family allergy (which includes a documented chamomile cross-reactivity) should patch-test these two components specifically before full-face use.

No prescription-drug interaction (tretinoin, isotretinoin, blood thinners) was identified as relevant to any of these four rinse-off/leave-on cosmetic formulas.

Conscious and Permissible Formulation

Halal: *Self-assessed by Adilsons based on available INCI data across all four components. No ethanol from fermentation, no porcine-derived ingredients, and no haram animal-derived ingredients detected in the declared ingredient lists.

This is NOT a formal Halal certification. Muslims with stricter requirements should consult their own scholars.

Vegan: *Self-assessed by Adilsons based on available INCI data. No animal-derived ingredients detected in any of the four declared lists (the serum's Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid and related Hyaluronate forms are standard fermentation-derived cosmetic ingredients, not animal-sourced). This is NOT a formal vegan certification by The Vegan Society or an equivalent body.

Cruelty-Free: *Brand-stated policy. Not independently certified by Leaping Bunny, PETA, or an equivalent third-party audit. No evidence was found this run that ARENCIA sells through Mainland China retail channels requiring post-market animal testing, but this was not exhaustively confirmed either.

Microplastic-Free: Yes for all four declared ingredient lists β€” no polyethylene, nylon, or synthetic microbead polymer was found; the serum's acrylate copolymers are trace-level film-forming/thickening agents, not rinse-off microbeads.

Evidence, Regulation and Claims

MFDS classification: all four components are General Cosmetics under Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety framework. "Functional Cosmetic" status (which requires additional government testing) was not confirmed for any specific SKU in this kit, though the serum's Adenosine content places it in an ingredient class Korea recognizes for wrinkle-improvement claims generally.

Evidence confidence: Marketing-Only* for the serum's specific brand-stated efficacy claims (no institution, sample size, or study duration was found for this exact formula); Low for the cleansers' "gentle, non-stripping" positioning, which is standard retail framing rather than a study result. *Brand marketing claims without disclosed methodology are not independently verifiable.

Product Identity and Provenance
Component Net Volume (kit size) Country of Manufacture
Holy Hyssop Serum 30 12g Republic of Korea
Fresh Green Rice Mochi Cleanser 15g Republic of Korea
Fresh Royal Rosehip Rice Mochi Cleanser 15g Republic of Korea
White Chamomile Tea Rice Mochi Cleanser 15g Republic of Korea

Batch/date markings follow the standard Korean cosmetic format (manufacture date 제쑰 or use-by date κΉŒμ§€, Year.Month.Day) stamped on each individual mini jar. Shelf life is typically up to 36 months unopened, with a 12-month period-after-opening once a jar is broken, consistent with the rest of this product line's standalone listings.

Sensory and Chemical Profile
Component Texture FA Safety
Holy Hyssop Serum Light, quick-absorbing water-gel FA-Conditional (Hydrogenated Lecithin, below the estimated 1% line β€” low practical risk)
Fresh Green Cleanser Dense, whipped rice-mochi paste FA-Conditional (Glyceryl Stearate, sunflower/olive/jojoba oils)
Fresh Rosehip Cleanser Dense, whipped rice-mochi paste FA-Conditional (Glyceryl Stearate)
White Chamomile Tea Cleanser Dense, whipped rice-mochi paste FA-Conditional (Glyceryl Stearate)

All three cleanser textures are described as a dense, bouncy, rice-cake-like paste that turns into a soft lather once emulsified with water; the serum is a thin, non-sticky gel. None of the four components has a publicly disclosed pH value.

Pilling Risk and Texture Mechanics

Assessment: Low. The cleansers are rinsed off before any other product is applied, so they cannot pill with later steps. The serum's thin gel texture pills only if applied over a not-yet-absorbed thick cream or excess sunscreen β€” apply the serum on clean, mostly dry skin and wait roughly 30-60 seconds before your next layer to avoid this.

Stability, Spoilage and Oxidation

Store all four mini jars away from direct sunlight and away from bathroom shower steam; fasten lids securely after each use, since the serum's Vitamin C forms are more prone to oxidation once repeatedly exposed to air and humidity. A serum that shifts to a noticeably darker or yellowed color, or any cleanser that develops an off smell, should be discarded rather than used.

Safety and Patch Test Protocol

Patch-test each of the four components separately β€” inner forearm or behind the ear, 24 hours each β€” rather than testing "the kit" as one formula, since a reaction needs to be traceable to one specific jar. Start with whichever cleanser you plan to use daily, then the serum, then any additional cleanser variants you want to rotate in later.

If an adverse reaction occurs: stop all actives, including this serum, for 72 hours and use only a gentle cleanser and a plain moisturizer with mineral sunscreen. After 72 hours, reintroduce one product per 14 days. Seek emergency care for hives, swelling, blistering, persistent burning, or breathing difficulty.

Troubleshooting Guide
If You Experience Likely Cause Solution
Cleanser feels draggy, won't lather Not enough water emulsified in Add a generous splash of water to your palms and work the paste until it turns creamy before applying to the face.
Serum pills under sunscreen Applied over still-wet layers, or too much product Reduce to 2 drops, wait 60 seconds, pat (don't rub) the next layer on.
Mild tingling from the serum Vitamin C cascade adjustment period Normal in week 1-2 if brief; discontinue if burning persists beyond 30 seconds.
No noticeable change after the kit is used up Trial-size format, low disclosed active concentrations Consider a full-size jar/bottle of your preferred variant for a longer trial.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
  • Rotating all three cleansers on the same day instead of one per wash.
  • Treating the kit as a complete AM/PM routine without adding a moisturizer or sunscreen.
  • Layering the serum under a strong AHA/BHA or retinoid in the same session without testing tolerance first.
  • Using the mochi paste dry, without emulsifying with water first, leading to a draggy application.
  • Skipping the patch test because "it's just a cleanser and a serum" β€” the fragrance-containing cleansers and the chamomile-containing formulas still carry real, if modest, reaction risk.
Usage Economics (How long it lasts)

At an almond-sized amount per wash, each 15g cleanser mini provides roughly 10-15 washes, so the three cleanser minis together give roughly 30-45 total washes if used one at a time. At 2-3 drops per application, the 12g serum mini provides roughly 60-90 applications used once daily, or 30-45 applications used twice daily.

This is a trial-size format by design β€” it is meant to run out within a few weeks to a couple of months, not to sustain a routine indefinitely. Using less than the recommended amount extends this timeline slightly but reduces cleansing/hydration effectiveness per use; using more simply depletes the minis faster without improving results.

Complete Your Routine (Exact routine + pairings)

This kit fills a cleanse-and-treat pairing; it does not fill a moisturizer or sunscreen role. Below are stock-verified, non-committal options for each missing role β€” one primary pick plus three alternatives, since stock changes constantly and none of these is required to make this kit "work."

Missing role: Daily moisturizer. Primary: Beauty of Joseon DYNASTY CREAM 50ML. Alternatives: Dr.Althea 147 BARRIER CREAM 50ML, COSRX ADVANCED SNAIL 92 ALL IN ONE CREAM 100G, Anua BIRCH MOISTURE BOOSTING CREAM 50ML.

Missing role: Broad-spectrum sunscreen (AM). Primary: SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum 50ML. Alternatives: Beauty of Joseon RELIEF SUN: RICE + PROBIOTICS 50ML, Anua Heartleaf Silky Moisture SunCream 50ML, ROUND LAB BIRCH JUICE MOISTURIZING TONE UP SUNSCREEN 50ML.

Optional addition: First-cleanse oil (PM, only if you wear sunscreen or makeup). Primary: Anua HEARLEAF PORE CONTROL CLEANSING OIL MILD 200ML. Alternatives: SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil 200ML, beplain MUNG BEAN CLEANSING OIL 200ML, manyo PURE CLEANSING OIL DEEP CLEAN 200ML.

These recommendations are based on filling a genuinely missing role in this kit, not on margin or stock levels. If you already own a moisturizer, sunscreen, or oil cleanser that works for you, use what you have first β€” none of the above is required to get value from this kit. After purchasing, you will receive our skincare education email series covering this set in depth.

Is This the Best Choice? (Mindful alternatives)

If you only want to try the serum and already own a cleanser you like, the standalone ARENCIA HOLY HYSSOP SERUM 30 50G gives roughly four times the volume of this kit's 12g mini in the same formula β€” though it was showing 0 stock at the time of this research, with the sibling ARENCIA HOLY HYSSOP SERUM 12 30ML (a related but not identical formula, adding Arbutin and Kojic Acid) in stock as a brightening-leaning alternative. If you only want to try the cleansers, the in-stock standalone ARENCIA FRESH ROSEHIP RICE MOCHI CLEANSER 120G gives roughly eight times the volume of one 15g mini.

If you want more cleanser variety instead of a serum, the ARENCIA 6PCS Fresh Cleanser Discovery Kit (15gΓ—6EA) offers six different cleanser botanicals with no serum included β€” a better fit if trying cleanser textures is your only goal, while this 4pcs kit is the better fit if you want the flagship serum included alongside a smaller cleanser sampling.

Why Choose This Over the Alternative?

Choose this 4pcs kit over the standalone 50g serum or a single 120g cleanser jar if you want to sample the serum AND multiple cleanser botanicals in one small purchase, rather than committing to one full-size item you haven't tried yet. Choose the standalone full-size items instead if you already know you like ARENCIA's Rice Mochi Cleanser format or the Holy Hyssop Serum specifically and just want more volume without variety.

Upgrade Axis What's better in this kit What you trade off Who benefits
Trial breadth 4 distinct formulas in one purchase Much smaller volume of each than a full-size jar/bottle First-time ARENCIA shoppers
Convenience/travel Compact mini jars Won't last as long day-to-day Travelers, gifting

Don't choose this kit if: you already know exactly which single ARENCIA item you want β€” a full-size purchase is more efficient; or you need a complete AM/PM routine in one purchase, since this kit still leaves you needing a moisturizer and sunscreen.

The No-Buy Redundancy Check

This kit's primary function is a discovery/trial format for ARENCIA's cleanser and serum lines. You do NOT need this kit if you already own a full-size version of the Holy Hyssop Serum 30 and have already tried at least one Rice Mochi Cleanser variant β€” finish what you have before buying a trial-size repeat.

Stacking assessment: No Benefit if you already have an open, comparable cleanser and serum in active daily use β€” this kit would sit unused or duplicate a role you've already filled. Significant Benefit if you've never tried ARENCIA's cleanser format or this specific serum before.

Sourcing and Authenticity

This product is sourced through authorized Korean distributors β€” primarily Craver Co., Ltd (South Korea), alongside other verified distribution partners. Craver is a major Korean beauty distributor and the parent company of SKIN1004, handling authorized distribution for multiple K-beauty brands. All products are shipped directly to Mauritius via verified channels.

About ARENCIA

ARENCIA is a Korean skincare brand built around rice- and botanical-extract-led formulations, best known at Adilsons for its Rice Mochi Cleanser line (sold in multiple botanical variants) and its Hyssop-based treatment serums. No independently-verified founding date, headquarters, or parent-company detail was found for this brand during this research; the brand's own catalog spans cleansers, soothing creams, sun care, and treatment serums beyond just the four items in this kit.

The brand's formulation pattern across the researched products leans toward amino-acid surfactants (gentler than sulfates) in its cleansers and a diluted multi-ingredient approach in its serums, rather than single-headline-active concentration claims.

Genuine Community Experiences

Independently-attributable, component-specific reviews for this exact 4-piece kit were not found during this research. For the Holy Hyssop Serum 30 formula, SkinSort's own product ranking positions it as one of ARENCIA's most-discussed treatment items, and retail copy consistently describes its texture as a light, quick-absorbing gel rather than heavy or sticky β€” a sourced ranking fact, not an invented quote.

For the three cleansers, retail positioning repeats a "gentle, non-stripping daily cleanse" theme across multiple listings, with the Fresh Rosehip variant specifically marketed toward brightening/dullness. No verbatim, individually-attributable review was found for any of the three cleanser variants or for the kit as a combined set during this research pass.

Packaging and Practical Details
Component Packaging Travel-Friendly
Holy Hyssop Serum (12g) Small jar/bottle with a secure cap Yes, well within standard carry-on liquid limits
Each cleanser mini (15g) Small screw-top jar Yes; the paste consistency has low leak risk

Fasten all four lids securely after each use to keep shower steam and bathroom humidity out. Rinse and sort the empty plastic jars for local recycling once depleted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this really 4 cleansers, or something else? No β€” it's 1 leave-on serum (Holy Hyssop Serum 30, 12g) plus 3 different rinse-off cleansers (Fresh Green, Fresh Royal Rosehip, White Chamomile Tea, 15g each). A widely-repeated description of this exact kit across multiple retailers confirms this 1-serum-plus-3-cleansers structure.

Can I use all three cleansers in one day? You could, but there's no benefit to it β€” they all do the same rinse-off cleanse job, so using one per wash and rotating by day or preference is the intended use.

Do I need a spatula for the cleanser jars? It's not included, but using a clean spatula or dry fingers prevents water contamination inside the jar and extends the paste's usable life.

Is the serum strong enough to replace my current Vitamin C or Niacinamide serum? Not necessarily β€” most of its named actives sit below the estimated 1% line in the disclosed formula, so treat it as a light, supportive layer rather than a replacement for a dedicated high-concentration serum.

Will this kit change my natural skin tone? No β€” the brightening-leaning ingredients (Niacinamide, diluted Vitamin C forms, rosehip extract) target surface tone-evening and post-mark fading, not your skin's intrinsic baseline color.

Glossary
INCI

Estimated 1% Line
An estimate, based on typical INCI-ordering conventions, of roughly where ingredients drop below 1% concentration in a formula β€” not a brand-confirmed figure.
FA-Safe / FA-Conditional
Whether an ingredient is commonly flagged by fungal-acne (Malassezia) safety trackers as a possible feeder for that specific yeast, which mainly matters for leave-on products.
MFDS
Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, which classifies cosmetics as General or Functional (the latter requiring extra government testing).

Emulsify
Adding water to a thick paste or oil to turn it into a lighter, rinsable lather or milk.
Fairy Dusting
Including a marketed ingredient at such a low concentration that it likely has little to no functional effect, used mainly for the marketing appeal of its name.
Humectant
An ingredient (like Hyaluronic Acid or Glycerin) that draws water into the upper layers of skin.

The Final Verdict

Best for: shoppers new to ARENCIA who want to sample its Rice Mochi Cleanser botanicals and its flagship Holy Hyssop Serum in travel sizes before buying full-size, or anyone wanting a compact travel cleanse-and-treat pairing.

Key benefits: four distinct, genuinely different formulas in one small purchase; the serum and one of the three cleansers read as fragrance-free; low commitment and travel-friendly sizing.

Keep in mind: this is not a complete routine β€” no moisturizer or sunscreen is included; two of the three cleansers contain a declared Fragrance entry; most of the serum's named actives are undisclosed in concentration and sit below the estimated 1% line, so treat its effects as supportive rather than dramatic.

Oncology and Treatment-Sensitized Skin

Assessment: Mixed β€” Consult Oncologist for the two fragrance-containing cleansers; Likely Suitable for the serum and the White Chamomile Tea cleanser, pending individual review. The Holy Hyssop Serum and the White Chamomile Tea cleanser read as fragrance-free with no retinoid or strong exfoliant present. The Fresh Green and Fresh Rosehip cleansers both carry an undifferentiated Fragrance entry, which some oncology skincare protocols ask patients to avoid entirely during active treatment.

Consult your oncology care team before introducing any new skincare products during treatment, and consider using only the fragrance-free components of this kit if you are currently in treatment.

Phased Onboarding (Safe introduction schedule)
Phase Duration What to Introduce
Introduction Days 1-7 One cleanser variant only, once daily.
Building Days 8-14 Add the Holy Hyssop Serum once daily, keeping the same cleanser.
Maintenance Day 15+ If both are well-tolerated, rotate in the other two cleanser variants freely and move the serum to twice-daily if desired.

This product set must be introduced as the ONLY new additions to your routine during Phase 1. Wait 14 days before adding anything else outside this kit. If irritation occurs at any point, follow the 72-Hour Barrier Reset described in the Safety and Patch Test Protocol section above rather than pushing through.

Environmental Defense and Lifestyle Factors

Antioxidant pollution defense: the serum's diluted Vitamin C cascade and the White Chamomile Tea cleanser's green/oolong tea extracts (polyphenol sources) offer some antioxidant support against daily oxidative stress, though concentrations are undisclosed. Hard water interaction: all three cleansers can leave a mild mineral film in hard-water areas of Mauritius; following with a pH-balanced toner (not included) helps counteract tightness afterward.

Your First 30 Days (Week-by-week)
Week What to Use
Week 1 One cleanser variant, once daily (PM). No serum yet.
Week 2 Same cleanser; add the Holy Hyssop Serum once daily (PM) if Week 1 was reaction-free.
Week 3 Introduce a second cleanser variant on alternating days; continue the serum daily.
Week 4 Rotate freely among all three cleansers; move the serum to AM+PM if desired and your skin tolerates it.

End of Week 2 decision point: any persistent redness or burning? YES β€” stay at once-daily cleanser-only frequency for 2 more weeks before adding the serum. NO β€” proceed to Week 3 as planned.
