Will this fade my dark post-breakout marks completely? It can help fade flat, already-calming marks gradually with consistent use and sun protection, but it will not fully erase deep or long-standing discoloration, and it does nothing for raised or pitted scarring.

Is this safe for keratosis-pilaris-type bumps? Many people with rough, "strawberry-skin" style bumps report smoother texture with consistent, correctly-paced use, though results and true keratosis pilaris response vary by individual and this set is not a medical treatment for that condition.

Why isn't a moisturizer included? This set focuses specifically on the cleansing-and-resurfacing steps; we'd rather you choose a moisturizer suited to your own preferences and current stock than have one bundled in that you may not need or already own.

Gommage

A peeling-gel format that visibly rolls into small debris on the skin during massage, physically lifting away dead skin cells.

Hypochlorous Acid

A mild antimicrobial, purifying compound used in skincare to help manage surface bacteria and support a clean-feeling skin surface.

Salicylic Acid (BHA)

Best for: someone with resilient, largely-controlled body skin who wants a structured daily-cleanse-plus-periodic-resurface system for rough texture and mild flat post-breakout marks on the back, chest, or shoulders, and who is ready to add their own moisturizer and sunscreen.

Key benefits: a genuinely complementary daily-plus-periodic pairing rather than two products doing the same job; a distinctive mechanical gommage mechanism in the peel shot that's different from a typical acid exfoliant; low-strength, brief-contact actives in the wash suitable for regular use.

Keep in mind: this is a partial routine that still needs a moisturizer and sunscreen to be complete; the peel shot contains a meaningful amount of alcohol and is not suitable for reactive or broken skin; results on deep marks or true scarring are limited.

Week 1-2: Daily body wash. Peel shot once weekly only, patch-tested first, on the least-affected area.

Week 3-4: If skin has stayed comfortable, increase the peel shot to twice weekly, still on non-consecutive days.

Week 5+: Maintain twice-weekly peel shot use alongside daily washing; add your own moisturizer and sunscreen throughout if you haven't already.

This product must be introduced as the only new addition to your routine at first — wait 14 days before adding anything else new.

Hard water interaction: the body wash's surfactant system can combine with Mauritius's regionally hard tap water to leave a mild tightness after rinsing; a follow-up moisturizer (not included) counteracts this.

Sweat and humidity performance: daily use of the body wash is more load-bearing in Mauritius's heat and humidity than it would be in a cooler climate, since sweat and sebum re-accumulate faster on the back and chest.

End of Week 2 decision point: any persistent redness, tightness, or stinging? YES → stay at once-weekly peel shot use for two more weeks. NO → proceed to twice weekly.
