No. The exfoliating active is Papain, a papaya-derived enzyme. Rice bran extract in this formula functions as a humectant/antioxidant supporting ingredient, not the exfoliant.

Why is this a powder instead of a liquid or foam?
An anhydrous (water-free) format keeps the enzyme more stable over time and needs fewer added preservatives than a water-based liquid — the trade-off is a less convenient, water-activation step and a genuine storage sensitivity to humidity (see Sec. 32).

Is it vegan or halal?
